Trade-off

How to preserve my stability, my immunity to praise and criticism without disconnecting totally from exchange and the possibility of growth? I am so safe in my certain-in-uncertainty shell. I can't go forward and outward without opening to something, but it is so nice here in the little boat. So sure and unsure and happy and sad. Row row row.
